The Coffin of Andy and Leyley follows two siblings whose attempt to survive isolation leads them into murder, cannibalism, and supernatural rituals. Andrew and Ashley Graves are trapped inside their apartment building after a supposed parasite outbreak forces the residents into quarantine. Food supplies are running out, and the people responsible for maintaining the quarantine have abandoned them. As their situation deteriorates, the siblings discover a disturbing ritual taking place nearby. Their decisions set off a series of events that change their lives and reveal the problems within their relationship.
The adventure uses a top-down perspective with exploration, dialogue, and environmental puzzles. You control the siblings as they search apartments, examine objects, and interact with other characters. Progress often requires finding useful items or determining how to access restricted locations. Conversations reveal Andrew’s increasingly conflicted feelings and Ashley’s manipulative behavior. Their dependence on each other becomes an important part of the story, especially when difficult decisions threaten their relationship.
Most gameplay involves moving between locations, collecting objects, and following conversations. The game does not focus on traditional combat or complicated character statistics.
The main gameplay activities include:
The Coffin of Andy and Leyley is organized into story episodes rather than conventional action levels. The first episode, The Coffin, focuses on the siblings’ imprisonment and escape. The second, Graves, explores their family history and introduces decisions that divide the narrative into different routes.
Two major branches, Burial and Decay, develop according to the choices you make. These routes explore different consequences of Andrew and Ashley’s actions, including betrayal, loyalty, and their destructive attachment. Some decisions result in immediate failure, while others influence events much later.
The game includes multiple endings and encourages replaying important sections to discover different outcomes. Its central challenge is understanding the characters, solving puzzles, and deciding how far the siblings will go to survive.
