Sharks and Minnows transforms a traditional game into a tense survival horror experience set in a decaying swim complex. Players are trapped inside the facility with one goal: complete ten laps in the pool to unlock the only way out. But each lap increases the pressure, as stamina drains and the threat around them becomes more active. What was once a place of practice and recreation is now twisted into a hostile space, and finishing the challenge means confronting both physical limits and something far more sinister.
Swimming depletes stamina, and without enough left to finish a lap, players risk collapsing in the water. To stay alive, they must leave the pool area between rounds to search locker rooms, storage areas, and back corridors for energy sources. Some items are easy to find; others are tucked deep within parts of the building that feel abandoned for decades. Players must decide when it’s worth venturing away from the main zone, knowing they might not return before the next lap begins.
As players move through the aquatic center, they’ll encounter traps and unexplained phenomena. Flickering lights, flooded hallways, and strange mechanical malfunctions escalate with each completed lap. The deeper into the facility players explore, the stranger things get. Hallways change shape, doors lead to unexpected places, and signs of others who came before begin to appear. The game doesn’t rely on loud scares—instead, it builds dread through atmosphere and the unpredictability of what’s hiding beneath the surface.
Each run of Sharks and Minnows presents a different configuration of supplies, events, and environmental shifts. Some players may choose to conserve stamina and scout early, while others may rush through laps and rely on quick scavenging between rounds. The facility reacts dynamically, so repeating the same route often leads to diminishing results. The game encourages adaptation, offering no guarantees and no permanent safety.
