Planet Plummet is a browser puzzle game built around physics and merging mechanics in a space-themed environment. The player interacts with falling planets and attempts to combine identical ones to create larger celestial bodies. Each successful merge increases the size and value of the resulting planet, which also increases the player’s score. The main challenge is managing space inside the play area while planning future merges. The game is designed for short sessions but becomes progressively more difficult as the board fills with planets.
The gameplay takes place inside a circular arena that can be rotated left or right. Players adjust the angle of the arena before dropping a new planet into the field. Gravity and positioning determine where the planet lands and how it interacts with others already present.
Careful placement is necessary because identical planets must touch each other in order to merge. When two planets of the same type collide, they fuse into a larger version. This process frees space on the board and allows the player to continue building bigger planetary objects. The arena slowly becomes more crowded, which makes accurate placement increasingly important.
Planet Plummet follows a consistent gameplay loop where each action affects the structure of the board. Players must think ahead and plan where the next planet should land.
Typical gameplay actions include:
These actions allow players to maintain control of the arena while building larger planets over time.
As the session continues, new planets keep entering the arena and available space becomes limited. The player must maintain order within the stack of planets while preparing future merges. Poor placement can create gaps or unstable structures that make later moves more difficult.
The game rewards players who anticipate how gravity and collisions will influence the board. Planning several moves ahead can create chain merges that clear large areas and increase the score quickly. If the planets reach the upper boundary of the arena, the run ends and the final score is recorded.
