My Dear Sheep begins in a calm rural setting, where your task seems simple—look after your sheep. You can walk among them, feed them, and watch as they wander the pasture. The game uses a PSX-inspired visual style with low-resolution textures and a fixed color palette, giving everything a nostalgic feel. At first, there’s no goal beyond observation and care, making the environment feel peaceful and predictable.
As the short gameplay progresses, small details begin to change. Strange sounds, unsettling encounters, and subtle shifts in behavior suggest that things are not as they appear. The sheep start reacting differently, and nighttime brings more than just darkness. Despite the limited playtime of 5–10 minutes, the game uses interaction and atmosphere to create tension without relying on dialogue or explanation. What begins as routine animal care takes a sudden turn toward something far more serious.
My Dear Sheep is the developer’s first game, created in a week. It is short but built with intention, using simple mechanics and visual storytelling to create contrast between safety and threat. The game invites players to pay attention to their surroundings, question what they see, and interpret the final moments in their own way. Despite its minimal runtime, it leaves a strong impression through its shift in tone and unexpected outcome.
