Heartless follows Jonathan as he searches for the truth about his missing wife, Sarah. A year after she vanished, a letter arrives—signed with her name—calling him back to Crimson Diner. With no other clues left, he enters the abandoned building, determined to uncover what really happened. As he moves through the empty halls, he finds cryptic notes, unsettling objects, and memories that don’t feel entirely his. The further he explores, the more reality begins to shift around him, forcing him to question what is real and what is not.

Psychological Horror and Exploration

The game combines environmental storytelling with psychological horror elements, creating an experience centered around discovery and unease. Players take control of Jonathan, exploring the diner while solving puzzles and examining objects tied to Sarah’s past. The low-poly, PSX-inspired aesthetic enhances the eerie atmosphere, making familiar places feel distorted. Every detail adds to the sense of uncertainty, encouraging players to piece together the truth while navigating a world that seems to be unraveling.

A Descent Into the Unknown

Heartless does not rely on direct threats but instead builds tension through sound, lighting, and shifting perceptions of reality. Each step deeper into the diner leads to new fragments of Sarah’s story, but the more Jonathan uncovers, the more unsettling his surroundings become. There is no clear escape—only the lingering question of whether the truth will bring closure or only more questions.
