GET YOKED: Extreme Bodybuilding is a single-player roguelike deckbuilder where players take on the role of an over-the-top bodybuilder sculpting the perfect physique. Each card played represents a gym action—working out, recovering, or boosting performance. The core objective is to hit the required gains to win bodybuilding competitions, but pushing too hard adds fatigue, and too much fatigue leads to injury. Every round is about balancing growth with caution, while slowly crafting a powerful, well-tuned build.
Each deck contains a mix of training exercises, supplements, and rest actions. Arm curls, deadlifts, squats, and more contribute to specific muscle stats, which are required for victory in upcoming events. But every effort adds fatigue, which stays in the deck and builds up over time. Cards like protein shakes or deep sleep can remove fatigue or add bonuses to help avoid burnout. Smart deck construction and knowing when to rest are critical, especially when tougher events demand more gains with fewer mistakes.
Players can choose from multiple bodybuilder characters, each with unique starting cards and playstyles. One lifter may excel at stacking gains quickly, while another builds slowly with better recovery options. Some specialize in one muscle group, like glutes or chest, forcing players to build a deck around focused progression. Throughout each run, new cards are added based on choices made after matches, rewards, or events, allowing players to shape their strategy depending on what challenges lie ahead.

The structure of GET YOKED emphasizes long-term planning through small decisions. Every card played pushes a build forward, but careless overtraining leads to setbacks. Players must learn when to go all in on gains and when to manage fatigue before it builds into injury. With each run offering new combinations, the game invites players to try different builds, test strategies, and refine the path to becoming a true muscle machine. It’s a deckbuilder about pacing, commitment, and finding the limit before your quads give out.
