Dandy’s World is a multiplayer survival horror game developed by Qwelver and BlushCrunch Studios. It was first announced on October 31, 2023, with the alpha version released on June 14, 2024. The game is available on PC and mobile devices, and a console version is planned through Roblox. Players take the role of cartoon characters called Toons and must work together to complete dangerous tasks inside Gardenview Center. Each session starts in a lobby, where players choose their Toon, customize its appearance, select useful Trinkets, and check their progress. From the lobby, up to eight players enter an elevator, which brings them into randomly generated floors full of machines, enemies called Twisted, and research capsules to collect.

Main Objectives and Challenges

In each round of Dandy’s World, players must fill all machines on the floor by extracting a substance called Ichor. This process involves turning valves and passing skill checks, which are quick reaction-based events. Failing a skill check makes noise, attracting nearby Twisted. The deeper players go, the more machines need to be completed and the more Twisted appear. Stronger Twisted also start spawning after the fifth floor. Each Toon has its own stats, like health and stamina, plus special abilities that help during the round. Players also find items scattered across floors, such as healing supplies or tools that improve speed or stealth.

Rewards and Character Progression

After each round, players receive Ichor based on floors cleared, Twisted encountered, and machines repaired. Ichor is used in the lobby shop to unlock new Toons, buy Trinkets, and get skins. Some Toons and Trinkets also require completing extra challenges, like fixing machines a certain number of times or surviving specific Twisted encounters. Each Toon has its own mastery level, which increases as they are used. This improves their performance over time. As an alpha game, Dandy’s World continues to change with updates, adding new enemies, features, and customization options, giving players reasons to return and try different strategies.
