Cursed Companions is a multiplayer horror game that uses voice recognition to shape the gameplay experience. Every word you say has consequences — sometimes helpful, sometimes dangerous. Whether casting a healing spell or accidentally summoning a threat, communication is central to survival. The game listens constantly, so players must think carefully about what they say and when. One wrong word might alert enemies, disable an ally, or even trigger a curse.
Each dungeon in Cursed Companions is randomly generated, offering a new layout, enemies, and events every time. As players go deeper, the environments grow more complex and unforgiving. Movement through these spaces requires coordination, awareness of surroundings, and tactical use of voice commands. Speaking can trigger traps or reveal secrets, but it can also bring enemies to your location. The deeper the team descends, the more important every decision — and every word — becomes.
While exploring, players gather loot, some of which is cursed and must be handled carefully. Cursed Treasures contain forbidden words that, when spoken, will damage players or inflict penalties. These items can be returned to the Dark Queen for rewards, but only if the team avoids saying the wrong thing. Gold from loot can be used to buy tools and improve the team’s capabilities. Items like teleport stones, healing potions, and combat gear improve chances of survival. Players can also invest in upgrading their base — eventually turning it into a fully customized mansion.

When players activate Traitor Mode, the game introduces hidden enemies within the group. Traitors have access to abilities like seeing other players’ health and applying death curses. Identifying them is crucial, but difficult — especially when voice communication itself can be dangerous. Emergency meetings and voting allow players to remove suspected traitors, but mistakes can be costly. With no permanent death, players can keep retrying, but each run is different. Strategies must adapt to new dungeon layouts, team dynamics, and unpredictable voice-based hazards.
